Results below are for the selected product and the declared unit of 1 m³. The verified PDFs remain the authoritative source for complete indicators, assumptions and scenarios.
The A1–A3 GWP-total includes biogenic carbon uptake associated with the wood. This is a module-specific LCA result and should not be read on its own as a claim that the product has a negative whole-life climate impact.
Embla ThermoWood® Planed is thermally modified softwood made from pine or spruce. The raw timber originates in Finland and the product is manufactured in Padborg, Denmark.
The two EPDs share the same declared unit and mass, making the core published figures easy to view side by side. They remain separate product- and factory-specific declarations.

The figures above are direct published EPD results, not a comparative assertion of overall environmental superiority. Any comparison requires equivalent function, scope and building context.
Both EPDs are cradle-to-gate declarations with end-of-life modules C1–C4 and module D. A4–A5 and B1–B7 are not declared.
End-of-life treatment is modelled as incineration with energy recovery. The EPD text also notes recycling as a common possible treatment route for wood waste. These are LCA scenario assumptions rather than guarantees of future treatment.
